was so going to sleep in class just now..actually was already dozing off...then all of a sudden, this guy came rappelling down our level 9 wiping the exterior windows...and everyone in class was amused... haha.. going to church today...for dinner and talk on BGR....going to york tom..hope it will be fun...assignments piling up.....

ad bah kut teh for dinner again on sunday....after church, went groceries shopping....wah..had a meal in church....they had bacon, and lamb, and dunno what types of smoked meat and also beef stew..yummy...with cakes and custard....had an apple too...thats the highlight of the day...was supposed to bring my roommate to church english session at 10...but somehow...we went there at 10.30am lah...so we decided to not disturb...so we waited for the mandarin service to start at 11.30am... while waiting ...we went to a park near the church...and saw cute lil' dogs running about...im gonna put up an album on dogs on my multiply...haha...okie...there was this particular old guy who when u ask him where is he from, he will reply "i am an alien,i dont belong anywhere" and when u tell him ur malaysian, he will say there is no such thing as malaysia without singapore...coz both asked for independence together and he only accepts malaya...and goes to tell about lee kwan yew and tunku abdul rahman's study days....and political stuff..sigh...but he is a funny old chap i suppose...,i went to a place in sheffield called 'car boot sale' ... its in front of holiday inn hotel, situated at a car park..opens from 730-12pm....what they do is...the traders park their vehicles like in any ordinary car-park...tbut the open up their car boots and have makeshift stalls selling stuff...srota like pasar malam...apparently they have another one on weds but dunno where...they sell second hand goods from clothes, soft-toys,electrical stuff and what nots...to antiques, anything u can imagine..even vhs smut...for knock-down and bargain prices...i got me-self, a mark & spencer's black long round-neck shirt, fcuk top for me sis, fcuk shirt, and a mark & spencer's made-in-italy long jacket (like the matrix type)....haha all for under £10....cheap no? anyhow.... had a nite cap yesterday with me housemate wah chai....strongbow beer ...its cider apple flavour...500ml tin okie??? crazy...went red almost immediately.... anyhow...was a nice drink..then watched national treasure...haha..diana or diane kruger is hot.....and building 426 is a great band...
TOTD: dont go out wearing a trench-coat like-x-files-fox-mulder style coat without long pants...u'll get mistaken as a flasher....i know...trust me.... go figure :p | | |
| stayed up the whole night to call me parents and sharon and madeline in the morn... was nice toking to ppl close to home...haha..irritating bit was to teach my sister for like 35mins to use the computer to create folders,rename, install stuff etc...sigh...
im in the library now...yesterday went to sheffield chinese christian church...was a good time spent... they gave free dinner...guess what? chicken rice...but methinks the meat was turkey.....hmm..watever..still a bird...was a good and cosy church...met this taiwan PhD student from uni of sheff that walked together with us...he's from that church..and his english is very malaysian (he says malaysians thought him to speak english..go figure..with all the lah..mah..ah...punctuations)...check out my www.tabulas.com/~decipher for a brief account of what happened. anyhow..i walked 2 hours non-stop yesterday...was going around town....hehe...im fine here i suppose... the only usage of my hp is to call back during weekends thats all..costs me like 2p per min and 5 p for the access fee....okay kua..
will upload pics regularly either adding pics to my existing albums or just creating a new one...hows things in penang? haha..im a little backlogged with my blog...and i dont think i will talk abt what has passed..just continue whats current...or else i wont start to blog at all... bought eight 500ml beers for £5 shared with friend...cider tasting ones..hhehe...
well..gtg now...c++ programming to learn in 2 weeks..so here goes nothing... take care ya'll..
yesterday...my roommate -chin hong and wah chai (housemate) and 2 others went for a walkabout town at 10pm...they came back about 12 and on the way back ...they got pelted with eggs ...they were damn TL about it...sigh...idiots still exist...car sped towards them on this long straight road to our student's norfolk park housing village, and turned of the lights to the car, and threw eggs...crap huh? thank god i didnt go.
my tabulas profile and comments are added already...go check my links on previous posts lah...i give up on trying to decorate my tabulas and make it presentable... i m no html expert or watever css or watever the thing is called...all i need is to know how to set my wallpaper....put pics on it, put a chatroom/tag-board, put up 2 clocks showing malaysian and uk time... and how to put a preface to my tabulas...and to include pics in my blog window...anyone have the patience to teach me?
TOTD: today no sun..and its a freezingly cold mornin..and i duno how to use the laundrette...actually i dunno what to put in the washing net, what clothes to put together, and what to do about colored ones...can all mix just because the clothes arent soaked, so the color wont 'run'? or will it still run even tho its ...argh...nuff said...watever lah..still got loads of underwear..haha..so no worries..

| So, its been my 4th day here in Sheffield. I have to make my own lunches, and cook all my meals. The only thing I have spent my money on is groceries and a sim-pack and some essential items. I haven’t bought any outside meals yet. It starts to get dark only around 9pm and sun comes up around 3am. So far, I am enjoying myself. The things here are cheap. For instance, shampoo’s, toiletries like hair gels, deodorants, canned food, milk, juices, cold climate veggies and fruits, stationery, depending on what lah…is rather reasonable. The weather’s great here… ranging from 13-17 degrees. I’m quite familiar with the surroundings already…there are whole day trips organized almost each Saturday for us. This Saturday, I can choose to go to boxton or york…methinks im going to york. I still dunno about what my plans is after my studies… sigh..but, anyhow…im gonna do a good job at it lah…try to work out loh… I love cooking ….Im living in a small cozy house. 6rooms… but I don’t have my own room yet.. I will only have it after the 25th hopefully…my room has somebody still living there… so im bunking with me friend chen hong…and I cant get any compensation…wtf??? The uni is very well equipped, all the fancy gadgets and all..lecturers are rather good I think. My UK phone number is 07871 796312…calling from Malaysia u have to dial +44 7871796312..dunno about Singapore….get a calling card and call me u guys~! I can only call u during weekends when calling back costs me only 2pence per min… so I will do the callings to u during weekends only..perhaps during odd hours…the telco system here is crazy…so so complicated… well, im just not used to it. The architecture here is very nice, and surroundings very pleasant… went to submit stuff to open account here...will blog better next time...
TOTD: i need help to use html, ccs, and watever stupid jargon that can make my tabulas site nicer...im thinking of discontinuing my xanga and doing my blog on multiply instead... hmm....
p/s-i need time to update my blogs and do more about how i am here in uk... right now..i prefer to let pictures spk for itself...
